Algonquin

• A Barrington man was accused of drunken driving at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Route 62 and Eastgate Road, police said. Robert S. Williams, 62, of 733 Edinburgh Court, was charged with two counts of drunken driving, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to yield turning left, police said. Williams posted a $100 bond and his driver's license and was given a March 26 court date in Woodstock.

• An Algonquin teen was arrested at 12:15 a.m. Friday at Huntington Drive and Stonegate Road, police said. Nicholas W. Nieves, 18, of 1840 Cooper Lane, was charged with possession of marijuana, police said. He posted $100 bond and was given a March 26 court date in Woodstock.

Elgin

• An Elgin man was accused Thursday of using a credit card that was stolen Jan 12, police said. Evaristo Roa, 24, of 531 Congdon Ave., was charged with unlawful use of a credit card, police said. Roa was released on recognizance Friday and given a March 7 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

• At least two gunshots were fired around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 400 block of Sherman Avenue.

Sleepy Hollow

• A Carpentersville man was arrested twice within five days at the same time of day at nearly the same spot, police said. On Feb. 16, Sleepy Hollow police stopped a blue 1995 Dodge Neon at 6:30 a.m. on westbound Route 72 driven by Raymundo Perez, 32, of 1935 Cherokee Road. He was cited for no valid driver's license and no rear registration light, police said. He posted $100 and was released with a March 5 court date in Carpentersville. Police stopped Perez's 1995 Dodge Neon again at 6:30 a.m. Thursday on westbound Route 72. He was cited again for no valid driver's license and no rear registration light, police said. Once again, Perez posted a $100 bond and was released with a March 5 court date in Carpentersville.

South Elgin

• Police said they saw a beige Lexus eastbound State Street at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday weaving. The driver, Agnes Hurschman, 43, of 2548 Hatfield Lane, Elgin, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or more, according to a report. She also was cited for no insurance, improper lane use and an improper turn, police said. Hurschman posted a $100 bond and her license and was given a March 12 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
