Motorola names exec as CFO

SCHAUMBURG -- Motorola Inc. Thursday named Paul Liska, a former private equity executive, as chief financial officer in the latest in a series of management changes. Liska, previously a partner for private equity firms including MidOcean Partners, CVC Capital Holdings and Ripplewood Holdings LLC, will take over from acting CFO Tom Meredith on March 1. He will report directly to Chief Executive Greg Brown, Motorola said. Meredith will continue as a non-management board member.
