One-party rule bad for DuPage, too
I have an explanation for state Sen. Dan Cronin, who was quoted in the Daily Herald as wondering why DuPage citizens might want a more "blue" county. If he believes one-party government (Democrats) in Cook County is bad for its citizens, then he should also believe that one-party government in DuPage County (Republicans) is likewise bad for its citizens. Those of us who are supporting Democratic candidates don't want Democrats in charge of a one-party government here, we want a two-party government in which checks and balances work to control the worst inclinations of each party. Corruption is rampant when one party calls all the shots.
