No injuries in Wauconda fire

No one was hurt during a house fire in Wauconda on Saturday morning. Around 10:07 a.m., Wauconda firefighters responded to the blaze at 408 Indian Ridge Trail.

Fire department crews located and extinguished the fire, which was confined to one bedroom in the home. A girl and her friend escaped from the house unharmed. Damage is estimated at $80,000 and the cause is still under investigation.
