Kirk wants all the credit for VA help

In public appearances, on his Web site and in a recent radio ad, Congressman Mark Kirk leaves one with the impression that he and he alone was savior of The North Chicago VA Center.

There is no question but that Kirk does deserve some of the credit.

But has he forgotten that it was his predecessor, John Porter, who started the ball rolling? Has he forgotten that former Sen. Peter Fitzgerald and Dick Durbin also helped? Has he forgotten that it was a Democratic Congress that voted to fund the $99 million expansion in 2007?

Congressman Kirk, give credit where credit is due.
