Record season for North's dance team

Wheaton North High School's Dance Team has had a record season including its first-place finish in the DuPage Valley Conference.

To reach this point and a bid for the state contest, the team has competed at 25 dance regional competitions and 10 flag regional competitions throughout Illinois since Nov. 3.

The Dance Championship consists of six dance competition categories offered in the A, AA, and AAA divisions, based on school size.

Wheaton North team members include captains Catherine Stilwell, Christine Ward, junior captain Liz Bisinger; Meri Anderson, Stephanie Garces, Grace Seacrest, Katy Collis, Alissa Golden, Lauren Kuebler, Stephanie Levine, Amiee Pilalis, Kayla Guzdziol, Laura Nicholson, Katie Marconi, Mary Ward, Brittany Vine, Dana Zeno, Marissa Beste, Sabina Sauro, Elsa Benson, Caitlyn Cairo, Jessica Lake, Mary Grace Exner and Arin Butzon. The team is coached by Melissa Pierceall and Kelley Severance.
