For all

Adler Planetarium: Enjoy a 30-minute sky show presentation in the Planetarium's Skyrider Theater, eat a boxed lunch from Galileo's, explore the museum on your own, and be treated to the museum's newest sky show.

Trip will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 28. Registration fee is $57 for residents and $63 for nonresidents and includes transportation from the Kraus Senior Center, admission and show tickets. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

For youth, teens

Valentine crafts: Children create their own valentines and a "be mine" carry bag for all the valentines they receive. Class is for children ages 6 to 8 and meets from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Community Center. Registration is $8 for residents and $12 for nonresidents.

Twos on Their Own: Are you looking for your child to experience a social environment in a small school setting? This program will provide hands-on activities through art, music, manipulatives, and dramatic play to enhance your child's independence through learning. Children will be all smiles with stories, art, play, sharing, bubbles, and more.

Classes are held on Tuesday beginning the week of March 11 and Thursday beginning the week of March 20. All classes will be held in the mornings at the Community Center. Registration is $76 for residents and $114 for nonresidents per nine week session.

Magnificent Math: Children ages 3 to 5 will experience the wonders of math in a fun environment. Your child will work on numbers, count and experience the beginnings of math through games and activities.

Class meets from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Tuesdays, March 11-May 6 (no class on March 25) at the Community Center. Registration is $42 for residents and $63 for nonresidents.

Paint and Playdough: Who says you can't be messy? Children will learn colors while creating a masterpiece that they will be proud of. Make playdough to take home for even more fun. Class is for children ages 3 to 5 and a parent and meets on from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Cary Park District Preschool. Registration is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie: School is out, so bring in the fun Children ages 5 to 7 will enjoy the classic story followed by crafts and activities that go along with the theme of the book. Class meets from 10 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 18 at the Community Center. Registration is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.

Macrame: Learn to make bracelets, necklaces and anklets for friends and family. This is a fun and easy craft that can be turned into a money making idea for young entrepreneurs. Class is for children ages 8 to 13 and will be held from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 25-March 17 at the Community Center. Registration is $22 for residents and $33 for nonresidents.

For adults

Child/Infant CPR: This program will focus on child choking hazards, child safety, and CPR for infants and children only. This is a great program for daycare providers, babysitters and parents. Curriculum includes a video, hands-on training, discussions and certification cards.

Class meets from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Community Center. Registration is $36 for residents and $54 for nonresidents.

Flow Yoga: Reduce stress and build a healthier body. This program includes Hatha postures and techniques and sequences for flexibility, strength, postural alignment, increased energy and overall health. Breathing and relaxation techniques will be included. All yoga props will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing. Class is for those age 12 and older and will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 21-March 20 at the Community Center. Registration is $60 for residents and $90 for nonresidents.

Sewing for the Home: Learn to make pillows, curtains, table covers and more projects for your home. Fabric choices, seams, trims and embellishments will be discussed along with ways to use them. It is recommended that participants provide their own sewing machines, however the instructor will bring a limited number for in class use. A supply list will be provided.

Class is for adults and meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays, March 3-31 at the Kraus Senior Center. Registration is $46 for residents and $69 for nonresidents.

Tai Chi: Tai Chi is a powerful but gentle exercise for both body and mind. Its graceful, continuous movements will relax your muscles while calming and focusing your mind. Class is for people age 14 and older and meets on from 7 to 7:55 p.m. Feb. 26-April 8 at the Community Center. Registration is $50 for residents and $75 for nonresidents for the first family member and $35 or $53 for each additional family members.
