Briefs: Aurora teen charged
A 16-year-old Aurora boy was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, aggravated assault, reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon after a Wednesday night domestic dispute in the 1000 block of Commonwealth Avenue. During a verbal argument with a 19-year-old family member, the juvenile pulled a handgun, fired several shots in the air and then ran away, police said. Responding police located him in a backyard and also recovered the handgun, which apparently had been stolen from one of the teen's neighbors. The juvenile was taken to the Kane County Youth Home. No one was injured.
