Geneva

• The rear right tire on a Volkswagen Jetta was punctured between 3 p.m. Friday and 5:55 p.m. Saturday while it was parked in a lot on North First Street.

• A man driving a four-door truck left without paying for 14 gallons of gasoline, worth $43.63, at the Shell station at State Street and Kirk Road at 9:17 p.m. Thursday.

• A cash register and $350 were stolen from For Every Season, a boutique in the Berry House, 227 S. Third St., at 11:58 a.m. Friday. The owner told police the register was taken while he had stepped outside the building for a break, leaving the store unattended.

St. Charles

• Three West Chicago men were arrested at 5:58 p.m. Saturday and each charged with retail theft after stealing $23.86 in razor blades from Wal-Mart, 150 Smith Road, police said. Charged were Jesus De La Cruz-Chaparro, 29; Miguel De La Cruz-Chaparro, 26; and Salvador De La Cruz-Chaparro, 31, all of 129 Garden St. Each man was released with a notice to appear in court March 6.

• Ageo Cruz, 33, of 12 Simpson St. Unit F, Geneva, was arrested at 5:11 p.m. Thursday and charged with failure to yield at an intersection and driving without a valid license after a two-vehicle crash on the 1300 block of West Main Street, police said. No injuries were reported. Cruz posted $100 bail and was released with a Feb. 21 court date.

• Kimberly A. Gardner, 19, of 816 Jackson Ave., was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday and charged with simple battery after attacking a woman on the 400 block of South Avenue. Gardner was released with a notice to appear in court March 6.

• Samantha Rodewalk, 20, of 1815 S. Fifth Place, was arrested at 12:01 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft after stealing $14.84 in baby clothes from Wal-Mart, 150 Smith Road. Rodewalk was released with a notice to appear in court Feb. 21.

• An unspecified amount of cash and jewelry were stolen Wednesday or Thursday in a residential burglary on the 900 block of South Eighth Street. Two doors were forced open in the burglary.

Kane County

• A Batavia man was arrested Friday on domestic battery offenses, authorities said. Michael V. Dugo, 51, also was charged with violating an order of protection after Kane County Sheriff's deputies were called about 7 a.m. to his home at 1138 S. Batavia Ave., police said. Deputies went to the home after a 911 call, and Dugo's wife told them she had been choked during an argument.

• A 46-year-old St. Charles man was arrested Saturday after he cursed and refused to obey a Kane County Sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop, authorities said. Nazin J. Useni, of 1324 Lancaster Road, was booked on charges of obstructing a police officer, sheriff's police reported. Useni had been in a vehicle pulled over on Freeland Road in Maple Park and was taken into custody after he became unruly with the deputy.

• A mailbox at a Sugar Grove residence was damaged by a statue of a bear apparently thrown from a passing vehicle, said Kane County Sheriff's police. The incident was reported about 8 a.m. Friday at a home on Scott Road. Damage to the mailbox was estimated at $30.

• Two vehicles were reported broken into Saturday at the Metra station in LaFox, the sheriff's police said. Two motorists who left vehicles at the station overnight called deputies to report finding shattered windows. An iPod was stolen from one vehicle.

• A faceplate to a car stereo was reported stolen from a Ford Taurus in North Aurora, Kane County Sheriff's police said. The theft was reported about 6 a.m. Sunday at a home on Tanner Road, where the car had been parked in the driveway overnight.
