Claymore offers China investment

LISLE -- Claymore Securities Inc. announced the launch of the Claymore/AlphaShares China Small Cap Index ETF on the American Stock Exchange. This exchange traded fund is the first one to focus on smaller Chinese companies and is Claymore's second China-focused ETF. China's economy has soared to $10.1 trillion in 2006 from $545 billion in 1982, according to the National Bureau of Statistics China Statistical Yearbook. China's 1.3 billion residents are increasing the nation's economic clout, said Burton Malkiel, chief investment officer of AlphaShares Inc., the fund's index provider.
