Summer Adult Softball Leagues Registration: Registration for adult summer softball leagues will be held at RecPlex from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Fees are per team and begin at $300 for co-rec high school teams. Most fees are $700 per team and the men's classic 16-inch league is $2,400 per team.
Registration must be done in person at RecPlex. No mail or phone registration accepted. For details, call (847) 640-1000.
Preschool Registration: Mount Prospect Park District preschool resident registration for the 2008-2009 academic year will be held Feb. 5 through 8 at Lions Center, Central Community Center and RecPlex. After Feb. 18, if space is available, drop off registration will be held at RecPlex only.
A copy of your child's birth certificate (or hospital certificate), a $40 nonrefundable registration fee, and a one-month deposit toward tuition is required at registration time.
New 2½- to 3½-year-old program: New this year is a 2½- to 3½-year-old program scheduled for 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at RecPlex. Birth date must be on or before March 1, 2006. Pull-ups are accepted.
Three-year-old program: The 3-year-old program will be held at Lions and Central Community Center. Both will offer a Tuesday/Thursday program from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Also available at Central Community Center will be a Tuesday/Thursday session from 1 to 3 p.m. and a Monday/Wednesday/Friday session from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Birth date must be on or before Sept. 1, 2005.
Four-year old program: The 4-year old program will be held at RecPlex and Lions. Both facilities offer a Monday/Wednesday/Friday program from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. In addition, RecPlex has Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 12:45 to 3:15 p.m.; Tuesday/Thursday from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. and a five-day program from 9:15 to11:45 a.m. Birth date must be on or before Sept. 1, 2004.
Pre-kindergarten program: The pre-K program is held at Lions Tuesday through Friday from 12:45 to 3:15 p.m. and Monday through Friday from 12:45 to 3:15 p.m.
The Mount Prospect Park District Li'l Mountaineers preschool program provides an early learning environment. Young children learn through active exploration of their environment through child-initiated and teacher-selected activities. The early childhood curriculum is appropriate for the group and the individual child. Preschool staff members and families work together to ensure that children are provided with optimal learning experiences.

Magical Night of Melody: Friendship Park Conservatory and Mount Prospect Park District will host a concert by classical and pop singer Peggy Zilla, at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Friendship Park Conservatory,
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door and include hors d'oeuvres courtesy of Giuseppe's La Cantina. A cash bar will be available.

Boys and Girls Spring Outdoor Soccer Leagues: Register early for youth spring soccer and save $25. Early bird registration for youth spring soccer for grades K through 8 will be held on the following dates:
Feb. 13: 6-8 p.m.
Feb. 16: 9 a.m.-noon
Feb. 20: 6-8 p.m.
Feb. 23: 9 a.m.-noon
