Teens who don't need reduced fare
In the picture on your lead story of Jan. 12 about the transit mess, there are three teenage girls boarding the train and all three are on their cell phones. I seems to me that if they can afford cell phones to call their friends (for all we know they may be taking to each other), then they should be paying full fares not the reduced student fares. Does the governor's plan to give free rides to seniors apply to those who are still working or just those he wants to come visit Chicago?
