Moynihan has the courage to lead

To the editor: John will bring a common sense, bipartisan and cooperative approach to find fiscally sound solutions to the problems facing our community and our state.

John Moynihan has devoted his time to serving our community through his involvement with St. Hubert Church and School and coaching youth baseball and basketball. He was raised here, is now raising his family here. and knows our community and our needs.

John is an attorney and CPA who has tackled complex financial issues. John's accounting, financial and legal background will prove invaluable as he represents and leads us in these fiscally challenging times.

John Moynihan has pledged to fight for fiscal responsibility instead of mortgaging our children's future with unfunded obligations Illinois lawmakers have allowed to balloon out of control. John will also fight for transparency in government instead of the business as usual backroom dealings among the "Illinois Combine" of politicians-both Democrats and Republicans, their influence peddlers, and insiders lining their pockets with our tax dollars.

One of my favorite quotes comes from a Democrat, Robert F Kennedy, who said: "The future does not belong to those who are content with today …. Rather, it will belong to those who can blend passion, reason and courage in a personal commitment …"

I truly believe John Moynihan has the willingness to blend reason, passion and courage into a commitment for the good of the people of Illinois and our community and therefore wholeheartedly endorse John's candidacy for state representative of the 56th District.
