District 214 to host an online auction

District 214 Community Education Foundation will once again be hosting its popular Online Auction from Friday to Feb. 5. This auction is held on eBay so bidders will be coming from all areas of the country.

Up for auction are many unique experiences including a Blues Brothers Tour of Chicago, the chance to sit on the Arlington Heights Fourth of July Parade reviewing stand, an opportunity to be a "roadie" for the band "Hothouse Flowers," the chance to serve as a House Page in the Illinois Legislature and a trip for two to Costa Rica. There are also sports events tickets, spa packages and gift certificates from area businesses.

All proceeds from the auction benefit the programs of District 214 Community Education, including: Adult Education and Family Literacy classes and the Kids on Track program for the Arlington Park Racetrack backstretch families.

'Light Fantastic' comes to Prospect

Prospect High School Orchesis' annual show titled, "Trip the Light Fantastic" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 7, 8 and 9 in the school theater, 801 W. Kensington, Mount Prospect.
