Funeral set for CBS 2 anchor
Funeral arrangements have been set for a Chicago television journalist killed in a snowmobiling accident in Wisconsin.
Visitation for 45-year-old Randy Salerno will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Davenport Family Funeral Home in Crystal Lake.
The funeral is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, also in Crystal Lake. Salerno, a morning anchor for WBBM-TV , died Thursday night in Eagle River, Wis., when the driver of a snowmobile he was riding lost control and slammed into a tree.
The driver, Scott D. Hirschey, 44, of Crystal Lake, has been charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Officials say he is hospitalized in fair and stable condition.
