Vote for judge with civil law experience

Judges, associate judges and trial lawyers tend to specialize in either criminal or civil law.

Both of our retiring judges in DuPage County this year were civil law judges and, in order to maintain a healthy balance on the court, we need to replace at least one of them with another who is strong in this area.

Four of the last five new circuit court judges have come from the state's attorney's office with their criminal law background.

Judge Dorothy French is the only candidate in either race who fills our need for someone with extensive civil law experience. First, in 21 years as a trial lawyer, and recently with seven years as an Associate Judge for the circuit court.

DuPage County has an excellent judicial system and knowing more about the judicial candidates can help us keep it that way.
