Thanks to drill teams for help
LivingWell Cancer Resource Center is pleased to celebrate its second anniversary of providing free programs and services that support people living with cancer.
In two short years, LivingWell has outpaced five-year projections in both participation and program growth. We have been humbled by tremendously positive feedback from those receiving services and have been blessed by incredibly generous support from our community.
As we celebrate our success, I am asking the community to join me in recognizing and celebrating the St. Charles high schools' drill teams for the phenomenal commitment they have made to providing "help for today and hope for tomorrow" for cancer patients right here in our community.
For the past 14 years the St Charles high schools' drill team members, their coaches and parents have embraced the idea that everyone who can help improve the quality of life in our community has an obligation to do so. They have led by example and have shown other young adults the difference that can be made in the life of a cancer patient by taking action.
Once again this year, the two St Charles high schools' drill teams have committed to doing what they can to support hundreds of LivingWell Cancer Resource Center families on their journey with cancer. They have worked tirelessly raising much needed funds and donating endless hours of volunteer time and talent to support individuals and families facing some of the most difficult times any of us will ever have to face.
According to the American Cancer Society half of all men and one third of all women will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. LivingWell Cancer Resource Center is a community-based not for profit organization that is committed to providing free programs and services that empower, educate and support people facing cancer. This would not be possible without community partners like the St. Charles drill teams.
The St. Charles drill team members, coaches, and parents stand as incredible reminders of people who choose to put their energy and resources into making our community a truly special place to live and work. Thank you all for being role models to so many children learning by your example and for showing through actions that you care.
