Keep independent thinker on board

I've been living in DuPage County for 28 years, becoming more aware of the county politics each year.

Overall, the Republicans have done a good job.

One important ingredient is the mix of Republicans on the DuPage County Board. Even though they have the same goals, not everyone agrees on the way to achieve those goals.

As every businessman knows, independent thinkers in his business help him see new ways of accomplishing things, as well as provide insight into ways he could get into trouble and how to avoid it.

That kind of worker is a valuable asset. Debra Olson has brought that kind of thinking to the county board.

She's a smart thinker and is honest in her opinions and approaches to things. She's a Republican, but not a rubber stamp for anyone. I think that's very important.

Most of all, she's well aware that she's in office to represent us. She has that service mentality.

We need to keep her on the county board. Keep in mind, it's easier to work with an independent thinker than with the opposition!
