Roderick I. Hart of Lincolnshire joined the governing board of Rolling Meadows-based Rainbows, an international grief and crisis-support charity for youth. Hart has more than 15 years of experience in health-care operations, business development and IT design. As a member of Rainbows strategic growth committee, Hart will work to increase recognition and appreciation of the impact of childhood loss and help the organization grow through strategic alliances and increased awareness.

With 35 years of experience in the food service industry, Gary Knuth of Sugar Grove joined Northern Illinois Food Bank as manager of food partner relations. Knuth leads food acquisition programs to ensure food is readily available for distribution to the food bank's 520 member agencies throughout Northern Illinois.

Kenneth Wright III joined Amcore Bank as an assistant vice president and insurance adviser in the bank's Northbrook location. Wright, who joins Amcore from John Hancock Financial Newtork, identifies and sells insurance products to meet customer needs.

Periodontist Michael Stablein of Lincolnshire was elected secretary of the Chicago Dental Society. Stablein, who practices in Chicago, received his dental degree and a doctorate degree in pathology, both from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.

Resource Associates Corporation of Reading, Pa., announced the appointment of Ann Hamblet and her company, Integrated Strategic Solutions in Evanston, as a certified affiliate within its international network of senior-level business and executive development associates.

Susan Hagerty joined Donley's Old West Steakhouse and Village Hall Banquets in Union as business development manager. Hagerty has 14 years of corporate event planning and project consulting experience, having previously worked for Arthur Andersen at the Center of Professional Education in St. Charles and in its corporate tax division in Los Angeles.

Jewish Community Centers of Chicago named Martin Levine associate general director, the highest professional position in the agency. Levine, who will assume the general director role on Feb. 1 upon the retirement of Avrum Cohen, will become the organization's 10th director in its 104 years of service. He joined Jewish Community Centers of Chicago in 1976 as assistant executive director of the Bernard Horwich Jewish Community Center in West Rogers Park and then moved up to his current position of assistant general director of the agency.
