Winter items, etc. are at resale shop
The Heavenly Attic Resale Shop at 307 S. Main St., Algonquin, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The shop has winter items, books, silk flowers, clothing, housewares, toys, linens, jewelry, videos, magazines and sporting goods. For the rest of January women's clothes and accessories are half off.
Drop off donations during working hours. Parking is available behind the store. For details, call (847) 854-4552.
Alg/LITH Expo set for this weekend
From entertainment to home improvement, there is something for everyone at the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce Home & Business Expo scheduled Saturday and Sunday at Jacobs High School fieldhouse.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Home & Business Expo helps businesses meet area residents who may be in need of their services and products. New this year, is an area where 20 crafters can showcase and sell their items.
Visitors can enter drawings for prizes which will be drawn after the show ends; winners will be notified. Prizes include a $100 Savings Bond, Brunswick Zone party package, three months free karate lessons, gift certificate for the Abby Resort and more.
Admission and parking are free.
