For all

Adult/Child CPR and AED: This program will focus on airway, breathing and circulation, hands-on CPR training and how to use an automatic external defibrillator. Also discussion on heart attack, stroke and how to help a choking victim will be included. Curriculum includes a video, hands-on training, in class discussion, and certification cards.

Program is open to those age 13 year and older and will e held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Community Center. Registration is $36 for residents and $54 for nonresidents.

For youth, teens

How to Get a Job: The Cary Park District will host a free How To Get A Job workshop from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road.

The workshop, for students in ninth through 12th grades, will give helpful hints including how to fill out an employment application, what to wear to an interview, when to return phone calls and what questions to ask during the interview. Specific questions from participants will also be discussed. Pre-registration is required.

Make Your Own Sleepshirt: Decorate your very own one-of-a-kind pajama top. Your child will be proud of his or her work of art. All supplies are included. Class is for children ages 3 to 5 and a participating parent and is held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Cary Park District Preschool. Registration is $10 for residents and $15 for nonresidents.

Fun with Yoga: Are you looking for a fun and healthy activity for your child? In this introductory program kids learn how to use their bodies in a healthy way while using their imagination and having fun. Learn yoga poses to build strength and flexibility and relaxation techniques that calm the mind. Wear comfortable clothing.

Class is for children age 5 to 14 and will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Community Center. Registration is $8 for residents and $12 for nonresidents.

Potato Printing: Create an impression that is uniquely you. Turn everyday potatoes into stamps. Use them to create cards, invitations, wrapping paper, wall art and more.

Class is for children ages 5 to 7 and will be held from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 28 to Feb. 11 at the Community Center. Registration is $18 for residents and $27 for nonresidents.
