Parents can get help raising teens

Teens often get support to help them through the transitions experienced during adolescence but parents rarely do. Parenting is hard work but you are not alone. Successful parents are informed, connected and confident. You can be, too.

Join this casual, confidential and educational discussion group at its next meeting, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the library of First Congregational Church, 461 Pierson St., Crystal Lake.

The topic will be "Family Time" for parents of pre-teens to launching young adults, led by Jill McCutcheon, MS, MSW, LC SW. McCutcheon has worked as a therapist with adolescents and their families for 20 years in schools, psychiatric hospitals, group homes and counseling offices.
