Scrapbook event to help fight MS

The Machonis family of Bartlett will host the second annual "Crop for a Cause: Making MS a Memory" in Schaumburg March 1. This is a scrapbook night and silent auction to raise money for multiple sclerosis.

The event will run from 3 to 11 p.m. at Our Redeemer's United Methodist Church, 1600 W. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg. A special early registration price of $25 per person is in effect through Feb. 1.

Each ticket will cover space for one person to scrapbook, a light dinner, and many free giveaways.

There is no admission fee for the silent auction, which will include a range of items from movie and restaurant certificates to a one-week stay at a condo in Maui. All of the money raised will go directly to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

For details, visit cropforacausemakingmsamemory.com.

Registration is required. Details are online for the 2008 MS Walk as well. Registration forms, with checks made out to The National MS Society, should be sent to Laura Machonis, 126 Amherst Drive, Bartlett, IL 60103.
