Proncho to succeed Krause
To the editor: Recently, I had the opportunity to view the cable presentation of the Mount Prospect Chamber of Commerce candidates' forum.
Because our state representative Carolyn Krause is retiring, I was particularly interested in the discussion that involved the two candidates running for her House seat.
Since I am interested in government fiscal responsibility, Christine Prochno impressed me with her sincerity, but also her experience in working on and developing budget issues for 10 years as a trustee on a village board. She also expressed her involvement with intergovernmental programs. I liked the emphasis on control of government spending.
The primary is set for Feb. 5 and I intend to support Christine Prochno as the successor to Krause.
