Vote for Obama, who gives us hope
I have often stated my independent views in this forum, although since the Bush administration I have leaned away (far away) from what the Republicans have represented.
We are now coming upon a time in our country where we as a nation need to redefine ourselves. Are we going to keep along the way of em-battlement? Every day the world becomes a smaller place. Can anyone disagree with that? Will we continue to borrow money at a unprecedented clip to keep financing this war effort and tax breaks? What kind of logic is at work here? Be you a conservative or liberal, we as a human race need to learn to get along before it gets beyond the point where there is no hope.
Yes, hope. This is an amazing thing hope. With it we, as a human race, can do almost anything.
Soon we in this state will be voting for those whom we want to represent us in Washington. There is one man running who advocates hope: Barack Obama.
With his victory in Iowa his stamp has been but put across the country. While his message of hope resounds, there are many other positives to this man. First, we in the middle class can understand the message against corporate interests over our own. Yes, and the tax breaks for those who really don't need them. Second, This unjust and totally unnecessary war. Third, our unprecedented borrowing to finance these tax breaks -- and war.
While there are many other issues involved here, these are the ones that will bring us down as a nation. Second guess me? Miss a couple of house payments and see what happens. Our borrowing money as a nation is no different. See what happens when we as a country can no longer pay our debt.
While there is no politician out there that any of us agree with 100 percent, we need someone that can move us as a nation. We need hope that we, as the most powerful nation in the world, will learn to do the right thing -- for the human race. I believe Barack Obama just may be that man.
