• Emily J. Lush, daughter of Karen L. Lush of Streamwood, was named to the spring semester dean's list at Augustana College, Rock Island. She graduated with honors from Augustana May 20 with bachelor of arts degrees in psychology and sociology, with a concentration in social welfare.
She was awarded the Geraldine Wallin-Sickler Scholarship in Applied Psychology and was named to the Psi Chi Psychology National Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Delta Sociology National Honor Society. Lush was also awarded a graduate scholarship to the University of Chicago-Graduate School of Social Service Administration, as well as a graduate research assistantship, while she pursues her master's degree in clinical social work.
Lush is a 2003 graduate of James B. Conant High School.
• Joshua Curtis of Bartlett, a freshman theater major at Millikin University, Decatur, is playing the role of Ben in "Six Degrees of Separation," the Department of Theater and Dance October production of the comedy-drama.
