Winter items are at Heavenly Attic

The Heavenly Attic Resale Shop at 307 S. Main St., Algonquin, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The shop has winter items, books, silk flowers, clothing, housewares, toys, linens, jewelry, videos, magazines and sporting goods.

Drop off donations during working hours. Parking is available behind the store. For details, call (847) 854-4552.

Preview MCC's winter cruise

Join the McHenry County College Sensational Trips and Tours program from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Jan. 31 (new date) in Room B166-167 for an informational session and preview of next year's Southern Caribbean and Panama cruise.

Scheduled for Jan. 28 through Feb. 7, 2009, the 11-day tour features a cruise to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas, Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Cuacao; Panama Canal, Panama; Gatun Lake, Panama; Colon, Panama; and Puerto Limon, Costa Rica.

The preview will address the total cost of the trip, what the cost includes, and answer any questions you may have concerning the cruise.
