Fire damages Fox Lake apts.
A four-unit apartment complex in Fox Lake was left uninhabitable after a laundry room fire Sunday night.
The fire department responded to 4 Lippincott Road at 8:25 p.m. Sunday after the fire started in the laundry room on the first floor. The
two-story building was evacuated, and the fire was under control in about 10 minutes.
Although the fire was contained, it left smoke damage throughout the building and electrical damage in the laundry room, according to the fire department, and the residents could not return.
The fire is estimated to have caused about $50,000 in damage.
