Schaumburg man charged in battery with vodka bottle

A Schaumburg man faces felony aggravated battery and retail theft charges after allegedly bashing a grocery store employee with a vodka bottle.

Cook County Judge Thomas Roti set a $150,000 bond for Larry Barry, 50, 2259 Pennview Lane, Saturday in the Rolling Meadows courthouse.

Barry is accused of trying to steal wine from a Palatine Dominick's store and attacking a security guard who attempted to stop him. Barry's next court date is Feb. 6.
