Hester Painting donating portion of sales

It's said charity begins at home; this new year, Hester Painting & Decorating makes that doubly true. The company will donate a portion of its revenues from Jan. 1 to Jan. 31, to the Northbrook-based Cancer Wellness Center.

Through the Paint a Wonderful Charity with Your Generosity program, homeowners have an opportunity to donate five percent of the cost of all contracted labor to the Cancer Wellness Center. The funds aid the organization's mission, which focuses on providing support to families and patients coping with cancer.

"The families and their loved-ones affected by cancer receive 100 percent of the donations from the Paint a Wonderful Charity with Your Generosity program," said Nancy Laatsch, executive director, at the Cancer Wellness Center. "We are delighted to partner with Hester Painting & Decorating."

Since its inception, the Paint a Wonderful Charity with Your Generosity program has supported a number of organizations, including the Alzheimer's Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago and Children's Memorial Hospital division of neurology. This winter marks the third year Hester Painting & Decorating has supported the Cancer Wellness Center.

To donate a portion of the cost of contracted labor to the Cancer Wellness Center, customers must inform Hester Decorating of their desire to participate in the Paint a Wonderful Charity with Your Generosity program before work begins. Donations are based on the amount of contracted work, with a maximum donation from Hester Decorating of $5,000 per contract.
