Notes: Huntley slates baseball camp
The baseball coaching staff from Huntley High School will be hosting their second parent/player camp on Sunday, February 10 from 3-5:30 p.m. in the Huntley High School central gym.
The camp will focus on the five fundamental skill areas including throwing, fielding, hitting, pitching and base running/conditioning. The coaching staff of Huntley High School and its players will be conducting camp activities. Emphasis will be placed on parents and their children participbasating to see and understand the drills that are being performed, so they can help their child achieve the success that they are looking for on the field.
Cost will be $50 and the final day for registration will be January 30. Please make checks out to Huntley High School. Judson volleyball signs player: Forming his first class at Judson University, head volleyball coach Craig Vlietstra has signed Rachel Whitacre from South Carolina. She will be a defensive specialist for the Eagles.
Whitacre will be coming to Judson from Greenville, S.C., where she played for Greenville Charter High School. This past season, she was named all-region and was the team captain. The past two seasons, she has helped her team to the first round of the playoffs.
Judson is coming off a 13-23 season.
