Housewalks and tours
• The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust's popular "Geek's Guide" tours are back. The "Geek's Guide to Wright's Robie House" goes into detail about the design technologies available in 1910 and how they contrast with those of today. The tour is 4 p.m. Jan. 26 and Feb. 16 at 5757 S. Woodlawn Ave., Chicago. Cost is $16-$18.
The "Geek's Guide to the Home and Studio: Restoration Tour" goes into detail about alterations made to the home from 1909 to 1974 and the efforts of preservationists to restore the buildings. Meeting
• Landmark Illinois' Preservation Snapshots series continues with a discussion of the proposed Chicago Athletic Association project at 12 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, and how it fits in with the Historic Michigan Boulevard District at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Chicago Cultural Center, 77 E. Randolph St., Chicago. Admission is free.
