Wheaton Center meeting need for apartments
Apartment living, close to the train and convenient to Wheaton's historic downtown, is available at Wheaton Center.
Wheaton Center apartments, a six-building residential property located in Wheaton, is responding to a lack of new apartment developments in the suburban market by investing more than $25 million in renovations to upgrade its 33-year-old property.
Located within Wheaton's historic downtown district, Wheaton Center sits on 13 acres just steps away from the Metra station, downtown Wheaton shops, dining and cultural venues and is adjacent to the Illinois Prairie Path. Two of the property's six buildings are 20-story high-rises with panoramic views spanning from Wheaton to Chicago.
Apartment renovations include new kitchens with maple cabinetry, upgraded finishes, new G.E. appliances and wood-style flooring. Amenities include an outdoor heated swimming pool and sun deck, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, toddler play area, free heat and air and free access to a full-service health club.
"Wheaton Center has been an integral part of our community for years," said Lisa Bock, president of the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce. "The renovations are an exciting addition to the community's rejuvenation, which will greatly contribute to Wheaton's popularity as a destination for shoppers and businesses as well as an excellent choice for prospective residents.
