What has Obama done for Illinois?
I think it's great that Elliott Hartstein, the village president of Buffalo Grove feels we should all drape ourselves in the flag and rally around Barack Obama. I agree that these are times that call for great changes, but they also call for great leadership.
Barack Obama has been our senator for two years, what has he done for the residents of Illinois? What groundbreaking, life-altering legislation has he proposed to make this a better, stronger, safer state or country? The response to all of these questions -- absolutely nothing.
More empty rhetoric and promises, except this time the scary part is that people are running to follow someone whose only true credential is charisma. How unfortunate for all of us.
