Thanks, Michaele, for all you've done

To the editor: In reading the article about 2007 Northwest suburban newsmakers, it mentions Michaele Skowron and the fact that she chose not to run again for a seat on the village board.

It also brings to mind her many years of service on the District 57 school board and the many committees on which she served, both for the village and the school district.

Those who have worked with her know of her dedication as well as her intelligence, effectiveness, and certainly her fairness. She represented and served us well for "oh so many years."

My thanks and kudos to Michaele for her time and willingness to serve. What would we do without people like her! Hopefully, she is enjoying more free time and other interests.
