Your chance to question astronaut Dan Tani

Ever want to ask your friendly neighborhood astronaut a question?

Here's your chance.

The Daily Herald is scheduled to chat with Lombard native Dan Tani, a NASA flight engineer currently aboard the International Space Station.

Sure, we could come up with a whole bunch of things to talk about during the late-January chat from space.

But we thought it would be fun to ask all of you what you'd like to know first.

Feel free to think creatively -- he's got a great sense of humor. And now that NASA scrubbed the scheduled January 10 launch of the space shuttle Atlantis, which was scheduled to bring him home, he might need a humorous diversion.

Tani arrived aboard the space station in October and was scheduled to return in late December, but problems with a fuel gauge on the shuttle scuttled those plans.

Now the Glenbard East High School graduate is preparing for his fourth space walk and keeping busy with daily duties aboard the station while awaiting a ride home.
