Bloomingdale calling:

The village of Bloomingdale has instituted the CodeRED Emergency Notification System, a high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. The new system lets officials telephone the entire village or targeted areas of the village in case of an emergency situation that requires immediate action. The system is capable of dialing 50,000 phone numbers per hour. A recorded message will be delivered to a live person or to an answering machine, making three attempts to connect to the home telephone first and then to the registered cell number or e-mail address. Bloomingdale residences listed in the white pages are included in the existing CodeRED database. If you are a resident with an unlisted phone number, or if you would like your cell phone or e-mail address added as a back-up notification, you can register at https://login.coderedweb.com/codereddataentry/index.cfm?GroupId=1426.
