Briefs: Siemens delivers new mobile systems

HOFFMAN ESTATES -- Siemens Healthcare's molecular imaging division has delivered the first two newly redesigned mobile Biograph 6 TruePoint positron emission tomography and computed tomography systems to the Florida Radiation Oncology Group in Jacksonville, Fla. The group provides cancer care at 14 facilities in northern Florida. The new, mobile PET-CT systems simplify treatment follow-up for many patients who before may have traveled up to 60 miles for necessary follow-up imaging.

PromoWorks joins with Mobile Media

SCHAUMBURG -- PromoWorks, a provider of sampling and "retailtainment" events and promotions, announced it entered into a joint venture with Mobile Media Enterprises, a provider of event marketing services. The alliance allows them to offer integrated experiential marketing as part of a complete suite of in-store and out-of-store marketing services. PromoWorks' clientele includes more than 400 national consumer brands.

A total of 1,629 Elmhurst businesses combined to generate about $69 million in state, county and local sales tax receipts for the one-year period ending June 30, according to a report of sales tax receipts issued by the Illinois Department of Revenue. The Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry reported that the city's sales tax total includes 1,492 businesses in DuPage County and 137 businesses reporting in Cook County. Elmhurst ranked fifth among DuPage county municipalities for the one-year period in sales receipts behind Naperville ($154 million), Downers Grove ($86 million), Lombard ($78 million) and Aurora ($71 million.)

Professor to discuss technology in PR

WOOD DALE -- Don E. Schultz, Northwestern University professor emeritus of integrated marketing communication, will talk about the digital revolution at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Doubletree Hotel, 1200 N. Mittel Blvd., Wood Dale. The Public Relations Society of America hosts the event. The cost is $35 for members and $50 for others.
