Lincolnwood training club earns honors for newsletter
Congratulations to Lincolnwood Training Club for German Shepherd Dogs for being awarded first place in the German Shepherd Dog Club of America's annual contest for regional clubs newsletters.
The newsletter has quite a history of placing first and first runner-up since it started competing in the late 1990's. Editor of the club's newsletter, "Tales of Lincolnwood," is Judy Braginsky of Skokie.

Party Time: Northern Illinois Samoyed Assistance will hold its Post-Holiday Buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Fusion Fire Restaurant, 123 E. St. Charles Road in Villa Park. Entry Deadline: Park Shore Kennel Club has set Jan. 9 as deadline to enter the club's Jan. 26 conformation show and junior showmanship. They will be held at Lake County Fairgrounds, 50 S. Weight Circles: Strays Halfway House, P.O. Box 68811, Schaumburg, IL 60168-0811, will be happy to receive the weight circles from your purchases of Purina brand dog and cat foods. The shelter will also welcome expired toner cartridges and cell phones to redeem for cash to fund the organization's supplies and care for homeless animals.
