Let's eliminate 'Black Friday' sales

Lines began forming at about 10 p.m. Thanksgiving evening. By the time the doors opened at 7 or 8 a.m., there were already about 300 people waiting to get the best deals, whether it was at the mall or the local Best Buy.

Why must all of the sales be after Thanksgiving Day? Almost every store in the mall, and stores surrounding it, had a huge blowout sale.

The workers in Woodfield Mall were forced to arrive at work at least three and a half hours early to open, meaning they had to get there at 4 or 5 a.m. Keep in mind this is after a huge Thanksgiving dinner, and after a full meal with an incredibly full stomach.

I think they should do away with "Black Friday" and scatter the sales throughout the holiday season. Start some before Thanksgiving and then have a continuance of sales for the following week.

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is about one shopping day for the whole year. If there was no more "Black Friday" and it was just wiped clear from our minds, I believe that the stress would definitely decrease, employees would be a lot happier, and consumers would still have their blowout sales to be content with as well.
