Arlington Hts. man pleads guilty to home invasion, gets 10 years

A 21-year-old Arlington Heights man behind a violent but botched summer burglary admitted to the crime of home invasion, landing him 10 years in prison, according to court records. Isaias Toga, of 1115 W. Algonquin Road, was accused of breaking into a Mount Prospect apartment in the early morning hours of July 21, pushing a startled woman inside to the floor and hitting her repeatedly. The woman had awakened to find Toga standing over her, authorities said. He'd apparently entered through a bedroom window and, at one point, threatened to tie up the woman, prosecutors said. In exchange for Toga's guilty plea, two other charges of residential burglary and unlawful restraint were dropped, records show.
