Hyde, a great role model and statesman

As Henry Hyde's alderman in the 3rd Ward of Wood Dale for the past 12 years, I would try to see him whenever he was in town. We always parted with my comment that he should not forget that I was his alderman and he should call me if he needed any assistance. With a twinkle in his eye he would say, "Thank you , I will have to remember that".

From such a great statesman to a local, he made me feel that I had someone to model myself after in our small community.
