Cary Pack 457 celebrates 50 years
Cub Scouts from Cary Pack 457 are looking for alumni Scouts and leaders to help celebrate the pack's 50th anniversary during various Scouting activities throughout 2008.
The oldest Cub Scout pack in Cary, Pack 457 was formed June 27, 1958. Since then, hundreds of children and adults from Cary have participated in Scouting activities through the pack.
The pack wants these alumni to help celebrate the 50th anniversary by participating in 2008 pack activities, including the 50th Pinewood Derby and the 50th Blue and Gold Banquet.

Heavenly Attic has holiday items
The Heavenly Attic Resale Shop, 307 S. Main St., Algonquin, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
This week features holiday items, winter items, books, silk flowers, clothing, housewares, toys, linens, jewelry, videos, magazines and sporting goods.

Library to host Spanish Storytime
Storyteller Larissa DeSmet will presents A Spanish Storytime, for preschool children and their families at 7 p.m. Dec. 27 at the Dundee Township Public Library, 555 Barrington Ave., East Dundee.
