Is teaching really such a breeze?

In reply to Rosemary Colbert of Schaumburg. Yes, it sure seems that teachers have it good. Full retirement at 55, handsome retirement benefits, only 9 months of work but paid for 12 and a multitude of days off.

If teaching is such a breeze, then why don't we have more teachers who will provide a first-class education to our children at a lesser salary?
