ECC open registration under way for spring
Open registration for spring semester credit classes is under way now at Elgin Community College and continues until classes start, space permitting.
Sixteen-week spring semester classes start the week of Jan. 14. Twelve-week and eight-week classes start the weeks of Feb. 11 and March 10, respectively.
New and continuing students with an ECC ID number can register online at www.elgin.edu/accessecc.
Student with no ID number and those who prefer to register in person may do so at the Registration Center, located on the first floor of the Student Resource Center, SRC 165, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays. The center will also be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 5 and 12
To get the best selection of courses and times, early registration is advised. Students may register for any course as long as its prerequisites and/or placement procedures are met and space for effective instruction is available.
Students will be expected to provide proof of having met course prerequisites if documentation is not already on file with the ECC records office. Students with outstanding financial obligations to the college may not be able to register until all bills are settled.
To complete the registration process, students registering through Jan. 2 must pay in full or enroll in an ECC payment plan at elgin.edu/accessecc by 7 p.m. Jan. 3 to avoid being dropped from classes. For registrations made after Jan. 2, payment is due by 7 p.m. the next day.
For information, contact ECC at (847) 214-7393 or registration@elgin.edu.
