Extra brush collection

The city of Aurora will offer a free curbside brush collection from next Monday through Friday to help residents left with broken tree limbs after the weekend's ice storm. Leave branches and limbs one-half inch to 4 inches in diameter and 2 to 4 feet in length by the curb. No waste sticker is needed. Brush less than one-half inch in diameter is considered yard waste and must be put in a Kraft paper bag with a sticker. Brush must be in neat, manageable piles with the cut side of the limbs facing the street. After next week's pickup, brush pickup will resume in April. Questions should be directed to (630) 264-INFO.

Work on the bridge is ongoing and a detour route will be posted using Route 25, Indian Trail and Lake Street. Drivers may experience heavier traffic along the detour route and should allow extra time for travel, officials said.
