'Blue' service for folks not in on season's spirit

A Blue Christmas Worship Service is planned for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the chapel at First Congregational Church. 461 Pierson St., Crystal Lake.

The holiday season is not always joyful and triumphant, the church explained, and those who have sustained losses during the past year or even longer are welcome to come to First Congregational for a time of music, spoken word, remembrance and reflection.

The loss can be loved ones and friends in death, loss of a job, loss of health or any loss which sadden the heart. Join church pastors and Stephen Ministry Leaders to receive and bear witness to the comfort God offers during dark times.
