Writers strike may bring us to reality

Recently, the writers who write TV shows went on strike, halting production on several shows including sitcoms and late-night talk shows. The Writers Guild doesn't care what the viewers think, but they should.

Back in 1988, the previous writers' strike lasted 22 weeks, and it cost the industry $500 million. If that happened today, the networks would be airing reality shows instead, and it may happen again. But I've also heard many people don't want to see any more reality; it's stars they want.

If you think the strike should end immediately, you can contact the networks or Writers Guild and let them know. Otherwise, your favorite shows like "Desperate Housewives" and "Ugly Betty" will be replaced by "the Next Amazing Apprentice Survivor," and there won't be anything the American public wants to see.

Give the viewers what they want!
