Coaches wanted:ŒElk Grove Travelers, a not-for-profit organization, is currently searching for coaches for its part-time travel teams. The program usually runs from January through July. Practices are held indoors at least once a week in January and February and outdoors in March. Anyone interested should send their sports resumes to Steve Brandt at sjbrandt@sbcglobal.net.

Basketball

Feeder tryouts:ŒElk Grove Village Boys Feeder League tryouts for the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade teams will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 and 9 in the Elk Grove Village High School gym, 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd. The league is for boys currently enrolled at Grove Junior High, Friendship Junior High, Queen of the Rosary or St. Zachary's who will be attending Elk Grove High School. Wrestling

Annual meet:ŒThe Sharks Wrestling Club will host its annual meet Dec. 16 at Maine East High School, 2601 Dempster St., Park Ridge. Over 45 clubs participated last year, fielding more than 500 young wrestlers in competition. The meet runs from early morning until late afternoon, with 11 matches in progress at any given time.

Parents of children who are interested in the sport and are 5 to 14 years old should call Mike Conrad at (847) 299-7531 for information on club membership or meet participation.
