Briefs: Sagent launches Adenosine syringes

SCHAUMBURG -- Sagent Pharmaceuticals Inc., a privately-held specialty pharmaceutical company, said Thursday it has launched a line of pre-filled, ready-to-use, 6 mg and 12 mg adenosine syringes. Adenosine injection is the generic equivalent of Astellas Pharma U.S. Inc.'s Adenocard, an antiarrhythmic commonly used in the treatment of parosysmal supraventricular tachycardia, a rhythm disturbance of the heart, in critical care situations.

Aquion Water taps Kneller as CEO

ELK GROVE VILLAGE -- Aquion Water Treatment Products, parent company to RainSoft and other businesses serving the global water treatment and air purification industries, said Thursday that Frank J. Kneller Jr. has joined the company as chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors. Kneller spent most of his career with Terminix International Co. where he held various positions. Kneller also was CEO of Cable Lock, Houston.
